Alfonso Boninsegni

Professor Alfonso Boninsegni
was a painter, sculptor, and above all teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Florence from 1949 to 1976. Alfonso
Boninsegni was born in Tosi (Florence) in February 1910 and he died in 1994. It was a close friend of
Peter Annigoni. A major boninsegni's work of sculpture tall than 2
meters is exhibited at the Uffizi
in Florence in the Medici Chapels.
That artwork was placed in 2003 and
it represents the elected palatine, namely Maria De
Medici (Florence 1667-1743).
She was the last representative of the Florentine
family of De Medici, very important figure in the history of Florence since she cared a lot  the art of the house of the family and she left in his will her family's vast collection to the Tuscan
